Block, Irma E., an 11 year resident of Manhattan Beach, passed away on Monday, October 17, 2011.Born in Brooklyn, NY, Irma was 93 when she died. Irma served in the Marines during World War II and later successfully balanced a career, homemaking and being a mother. Irma is survived by sons, Jerry (Belinda) Block of Kansas City, MO; Rick (Helen) Block of Manhattan Beach, CA; grandchildren, Karen, Michael, Robert and Sara; and great grandchildren, James Holdcroft and Myles Shaul. Rick and Helen will host an open house on Saturday, October 29, 2011 between 12 and 4 pm at their home. Please call 310.643-5710 for directions. The services and burial will be private.
