Jack Hoy was born in Lincoln Nebraska on September 10, 1938. He served in the United States Army in the early 1960s. He moved to California in 1962 to work at TRW where he remained until he retired in 2000. Jack lived in Hermosa Beach from the mid 1970s until his death. Jack enjoyed playing beach volleyball, was part of a chess group, loved riding his bicycle around Hermosa Beach. He also loved traveling, hiking in the mountains, walking Sparky (his favorite canine friend) and fishing in Alaska. More than anything, he enjoyed the time he spent with his friends. He is missed by many.
Jack is survived and missed by his special friend Adriana Whitney of Palos Verdes Estates, CA; brother and sister-in-law Bob and Judy Hoy of Stevensville, MT; sister and brother-in-law Susan and Bruce O'Callaghan of Hurricane, UT; sister Diane Hoy of Palmyra, NE; nephew Brian O'Callaghan, niece Kristi Powell and many great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
Memorial Service will be held at Rice Mortuary in Torrance, CA on November 12, 2011 at 2:00 - 5pm.
