James Milton Kirtland, 85 of Gardena, passed away on February 15, 2022. He was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on June 28, 1936 to James E. Kirtland & Mable Moss Kirtland. Milt was an incredible man and lived an incredible life. Coming from Louisiana with his dad to California with nothing in their pockets to creating a small trucking company to a full on demolition company that still exists to this day. He is survived by his daughter in law Bertha Kirtland, long time girlfriend Angie Bursey and his sister Mary Hagthrop. Grandchildren Lucille “Kirtland” Zamora, Mark Kirtland II, Yolanda Kirtland, Stephanie Kirtland, Jimmy Kirtland and Ana Kirtland. Great-grandchildren Markie Kirtland, Jacob Zamora, Joshua Zamora, Ashlee Kirtland, James D. Kirtland, Alivia Vellos, Amber Kirtland and Zoey Kirtland. His son Mark E. Kirtland precedes him in death, along with his father James E. Kirtland, mother Mabel Moss Kirtland and sister Virginia Siebert. Funeral Services will be held at Halverson Stone & Myers in Torrance, Ca on Friday March 18, 2022 with a Visitation from 10am -12pm following a Graveside Committal Service from 12pm -1pm at Pacific Crest Cemetery in Redondo Beach, Ca.
