James R. Leth, 71, of Palos Verdes Peninsula, passed away on May 3, 2012, after a short fight against Leukemia. He will be missed by his wife Joanne; children, Steve and Susan; grandson, Josh; brother Dave, along with daughter-in-law, Kerry and son-in-law Jamie. Jim and Joanne recently celebrated 50 years of marriage. Jim and his family moved from Illinois to California in 1969 and settled in Palos Verdes after a few years in Lomita. He will be reuniting with his parents and sister, Clarence, Freda, and Carol. Jim worked in the Accounting and Finance side of several businesses during his over 50 year career including 13 years as co-owner of New Fashion Window Coverings. Services will be at Rice Mortuary in Torrance on Friday, May 11 at 2:00pm.
