A 50 year Manhattan Beach resident passed away on June 9, 2013. Born August 12, 1928 in Illinois and raised in Utah, he is survived by sons Robert C. and John P.; and grand and great grandchildren. He is predeceased by his wife, Betty, son, James A. Pollock Jr. (Jimmy), brother Rev. Msgr. Robert C. of Salt Lake City. The retired L.A.P.D. officer was a member of American Martyrs Church, the Knights of Columbus, Council 4567 and the Manhattan Beach Property Owners Association. He was also involved in Little League and the Boy Scouts of America. Visitation will be at White and Day, Manhattan Beach Chapel on Monday June 17, 2013 from 4-8pm. The recitation of the Rosary will begin at 7:00 pm.
