Jerome Sidney Nygaard, a 69-year resident of California passed away on Monday October 12, 2020 in Hermosa Beach, California. Born in Juanita, North Dakota, Jerome was 86 when he died. Jerome was a member of the Sons of Norway and was an avid rock hound with the Naromic Rock Club. Jerome served in the United States Army. He was part of the Big Red One Division and a member of the Fort Riley Rifle Team.
Jerome’s passion was being a Grandpa. Jerome is survived by his wife Esther Nygaard of 65 years, his two sons Bryan and Bryce Nygaard, two daughters-in-laws Laura and Kim Nygaard and four grandchildren Brandyn, Kailey, Nyles Nygaard and Kjell Cunningham. Jerome is also survived by his brother John, his wife Mary Nygaard and family, niece Eileen Hunt, her husband Ed and family and nephew Craig Larson, his wife Sharon and family.
John and Caroline Nygaard (parents) and Eleanor Larson (sister) preceded Jerome in death.
