It is with deep sorrow that we mourn the passing of Joan Rose Golem on September 30, 2025 at age of 87.
Joan was born in New York and moved to CA in the 1950s and graduated from Pasadena High School. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt who was loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
Joan is survived by her children Mary Schulist (Keith), Diane Vrcic, Carol LaFever (Hakim) and Paul Golem (Julie); grandchildren, Rose Boyer (Jules) , Brandon Vrcic (Ashley), Heather LaFever (Kevin), Lauren Golem, Ryan Vrcic, Samantha Payne (Jacob), Michelle Williams (Julien) and Rebecca Schulist (Hannah), great-grandchildren Emma, Ava and Michael, her sister Carol Larson (Phil Glass), her nieces, Valerie Larson and Donna Golem, her nephews, Ron Golem, and Richard Golem.
Joan married the love of her life, Tony (Ante) in 1958 and raised five children. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tony, daughter Kathy, brother Jerry, and her parents John and Rose Fabulich. Joan and Tony were married for 54 years. She loved knitting, puzzles, watching TV, but mostly seeing her family and a good party.
