Bartos, John Roman, a 56 year resident of Manhattan Beach , passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2003 in Manhattan Beach. Born in Alliance, Ohio, Mr. Bartos was 85 when he died. John had served in the Army during WWII and worked for Northrop Air Craft for 30 years prior to his retirement. He is survived by wife, Faraday; daughters, Holiday Whisennand, Jonel Baker Bartos and Camilla Pratt; son, Christopher Bartos; brother-in-law, Roger Ransom; eight grandchildren, Laura Owens, Kim Harris, Corinne Powers, Marcy Jacobs, Aaron Pratt, Jason Pratt, Leah Bartos and Monica Bartos; four great grandchildren, Hunter Owens, Orion Owens, Emily Powers and Charlie Jacobs. Memorial funeral services will be held at noon on Wednesday, February 19, 2003, at the Manhattan Beach Community Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his name to the memorial fund at the Church.
