John Kline died on Dec. 10 following a short illness. He was the last remaining child of Harry and Alma. He was the loved sibling to Harry Kline, Carol (Charles) Ryan and Eileen (William) Ivers. He was born in New Jersey on Christmas Day, 1935. He lived the last 50 years of his life in Manhattan Beach and was a member of American Martyrs Catholic church. He spent his professional life as an engineer, testing wind tunnels at Douglas Aircraft. Following his retirement, he traveled, enjoyed the racetrack, attended many cultural events, kept up with scientific journals and was active with the seniors group in his parish.
He was an incredible son, brother and uncle.
Primarily, he was a good and simple Christian, who set a great example to his many nieces and nephews who were fortunate to be witness to his kind and loving ways. His last wish was to see the sweet face of Jesus.
The Rosary (Tuesday, Dec. 17 at 7 P.M.) And Funeral Mass (Wed., Dec. 18 at 10 AM) will both be held at American Martyrs.
In lieu of flowers, please pray for his soul in purgatory.
