Johnie was well known for her vibrant personality, love of family and friends, and extreme motivation to help children learn and grow through creative thought and expression. Johnie is survived by son Richard Moses and his wife Beth of Castaic, CA; son Tarrant Moses and his wife Nancy of Playa del Rey, CA; and grandchildren Emily, Hannah, Gavin, Axel and Ethan.
A Beach Memorial will be held at Torrance Beach, Torrance, CA 90277 on Sunday October 7, 2012 at 3:00 pm. Beach parking is located off Paseo De La Playa
The family has asked that donations be made to the Johnie Bennett Fund, Adopt a Student Program through Ascension Catholic School (Checks can be made out to "Ascension School—Johnie Bennett Fund" and sent to 500 W. 111th Place, Los Angeles, CA 90044) or pick a flower in her honor- she would have loved both.
