Born in Boston, Massachusetts, October 5, 1939, to Leslie and Willietta Davis, the second child of five, Brothers Wilbur and Ronald Davis, Sister Cecille Davis (precedes her in death) and Charles Davis of (Boston, Massachusetts).
Loving wife, Mother of eight (8), Homemaker, and a full-time M.O.M. (mother of many) to countless family members and close friends that which she has embraced as her own with an open heart and warmest hugs anyone one could ever desire.
Josephine worked just a few jobs outside of her household. But the one she loved most was working for Brea Canon oil company as a Community Liaison during the construction of K. Hovnanian Dominguez Hills Village in her beloved city of Carson California where she got the opportunity to do what came to her like second nature-meet and greet members of the community, potential donors, buyers and the like. She enjoyed working on golf tournaments to create scholarships for college bound students and other fundraising projects for the less fortunate. For all who knew Josephine, she never met a stranger. She greeted everyone she met as if she knew them forever and shared those amazing hugs. It has been a long standing joke amongst family and friends. Where ever Josie goes she is going to run into somebody she knows. Josephine was a very active volunteer at her neighborhood park and where she was very supportive of all the activities and projects her children were involved in. And as they grew up, she maintained that zeal. She delighted in the opportunities to attend live events, socialize, entertain, travel, and just about anything she could do that would include her family. Josephine a very strong-willed, determined, brave, fun-loving, woman with a witty sense of humor and enough love for all who passed her way.
