

JOYCE ELLEN ROWE was born on September 20, 1946, to Gladys Love and Miller Rowe in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Joyce attended elementary and junior high school in Tulsa and graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in 1964. After graduation, she immediately moved to Los Angeles, California to join her mother who had moved to Los Angeles one year prior. Joyce was able to adapt to Los Angeles immediately due to having family and friends from Tulsa, now living in Los Angeles. She enjoyed spending time with Family and Friends.
Joyce attended Los Angeles City College (LACC) and left to pursue a career in advertising where she worked at several prominent firms including Chiat\Day.
Joyce met and fell in love with George Campbell, and they married on June 13, 1970. Their son, Darin Michele Campbell was born later that year.
George always referred to Joyce as “My Pretty Wife.” When Joyce got her driver’s license George surprised her with a new 1973 Silver Datsun 240Z, and she absolutely loved that car.
The Campbells lived in Baldwin Hills until 1990. They sold their home and moved to Las Vegas.
After arriving in Las Vegas, Joyce began working at the Mirage Hotel and later retired from Shadow Creek Golf Course.
George and Joyce traveled to France, Italy, Jamaica, Mexico, the Bahamas, Hawaii, and many other places. Her favorite places to visit were Hawaii and San Francisco.
Joyce made her transition on Saturday, May 6, 2023, left to cherish her memory, husband George Campbell, son Darin Campbell and his wife Tara, their daughter Alexus and a host of relatives and friends.
