She was 75, and courageously battled brain cancer for nearly three years. She was born in Alfonso Cavite, Philippines on January 9, 1937. She immigrated to the United States in 1980. She is survived by her five children - Annabelle, Alvin, Marie, Almer, and Czarina and her five grandchildren-Raymond, Julian, Matthew, Patrick, and Isabel.
In the United States, Julita worked for more than ten years dedicatedly serving patients at UMC hospital in Las Vegas, Nevada. She resigned from her job at UMC to look after her newborn grandson Matthew in California. She then cared for her ailing mother, Marcela Gonzales, for more than a decade until she passed away in 2006.
Julita always took great care of people, even during the last months of her life always caring and compassionate. She is fondly remembered by family as one who gladly gave herself totally and leaving little for herself. Many of her close friends and relatives remember her for her compassion and generosity.
We all mourn for her loss. Everyone whose lives she touched knew they always had a special place for them in her heart.
