

Junius Green Jr. passed away at the Houston County Hospital on January 06, 2021 in Warner Robins, Georgia at the age of 69. He was born July 21, 1951 in New Orleans, Louisiana to Junius Green Sr. and Irene Wallace-Green. He attended public school there, and would later marry his school sweetheart Kathy Green. He later married Patricia Lewis-Green and together they remained until God called him home. He was a devout employee of the Metropolitan Transit Authority for several years until retirement in July 2017. Junius Jr was also a devout Christian. He attended Gethsemane Christian Love in Los Angeles, California and New Life SDA Church in Warner Robins, Georgia. In April of 2018 Junius Jr and Patricia left the big city life of Los Angeles, California and relocated to Warner Robins, Georgia (a suburb of Atlanta).
Over time and through the unions noted above, a host of additional family members were woven into our fabric of love. Jun is survived by his wife Patricia Green of Warner Robins, Georgia; Son Junius Green III (Rochelle) of Los Angeles, California, and “bonus” daughters Veronika Waller of Macon, Georgia and Joy (Kelvin) Curry of Navarre, Florida.
Grandchildren: Keisha Green of Lancaster, CA; Tonisha Ashford and Rachel Green of Los Angeles, CA; Alvin (Shelly) Green of Anaheim, CA; Deon Murphy of Madera CA, William (Cori) Hardy Jr. of Seattle, WA; Patrick Henderson of San Diego, CA; Imani Henderson of Macon, GA; Amari (Angelique) Buggs of Jacksonville FL; and Terry Pemberton Jr. of Navarre FL.
Great Grandchildren; DeWayne Johnson Jr. of Los Angeles, CA; Dionne (6 children) in Madera, CA; Keshawn Wilson and Tomia Bolton of Lancaster, CA; Alauna Hardy of Seattle, WA.; and Arlo Green of Anaheim CA.
…And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws including Washington (Marissa) Doyle of Bakersfield CA; Dashema Coleman of San Diego, CA; Estell Hassen-Young of Santa Monica, CA; James (Gail) Flewellen of Henderson, Nevada; Benita (Donald –deceased) Moffett of Hesperia, CA; Albert Lewis, Anthony Oliver, and Andrew Oliver of Northern California.
Preceding Junius Jr. in death were: Grandmother- Matlean Green-Dyer, Parents- Irene Wallace-Green and Junius Green Sr., his youngest son Alvin Green, Brother-LeRoy “Ray” Green, and his sister Albertha “Bert” Shorty.
Two viewings were scheduled to honor the life of Jun, as he was loved by all and never met a stranger. The first viewing was January 9, 2021 at Robinson & Son Funeral Home in Warner Robins, Georgia which included a private moment for family members on the east coast. While the second viewing is scheduled to be Los Angeles, January 15, 2021 at 11:30am for our west coast family members. The burial will follow the Los Angeles, California viewing at the Inglewood Cemetery.
Due to COVID-19, both viewings were extremely limited in capacity and time to ensure compliance with their respective county’s regulatory guidance regarding social distancing. Please respect the family’s right to privacy and allow them to mourn in peace.
