She is survived by a son, Rolf C. Husted (Maureen) and children Clark (Lesley), Karin (Chad); her daughter Sigrid (Ralph) and children, Scott,(Ginny), Bryan (Debbi) and Laura (Marc Schenasi). She had 8 wonderful great-grand children, Kevin and Keisey Allman, Matthew Blake and Hanna Allman and Madeline, Haley and Todd Schenasi.
Madeline met her future husband, R. Paul Husted while living in the Sacramento area and after his graduation from the USC Dental School, the young couple moved to Hermosa Beach, California. She was a charter member of the Sandpipers and a member of St. Cross Episcopal Church. After moving to Palos Verdes in late 1939, she raised her children and continued to do a variety of volunteering at Kaiser hospital and as a school aide in the Palos Verdes Schools. She was also a big USC football fan and attended all the home games until about the age of 83.
She taught her children manners. She taught them to care about others and do volunteer work as she had done throughout her life. Madeline was a true lady, all of her life. A refined woman, who did a great job of virtually raising herself!
