Cowan, Marilyn Margaret, a 35 year resident of the South Bay, passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2007 in Carson. Born in Revere, Massachusetts, Marilyn was 64 when she died. Marilyn was a member of the Breast Cancer Society and the American Heart Association. Marilyn spent over 30 years as an Executive Secretary. She enjoyed singing, poetry, music, films, and the arts.
She is survived by Son, Kelly (Natalie) Cowan of Torrance, CA; Daughter, Shelly (Michael Zamarripa) of Torrance, CA; Daughter, Shawn Sexton of Torrance, CA; Brothers Bob (Cindy) Morriss, Allyn (Irene) Morriss, Harry (Trisha) Morriss; 20 Grandchildren, and 6 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her Husband Jack Cowan, Mother, Agnes Morriss, and Father, Henry Morriss.
The Viewing and Service will be held at Rice Mortuary in Torrance on Sunday January 28, 2007 at 10am. Burial will follow at Riverside National Cemetery in Riverside on Monday January 29, 2007 at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to members of the family on her behalf.
