Mrs. Nguyen was born on May 10, 1937, in Phu Luu, Vietnam, and passed away peacefully on February 26, 2025, at Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center located in Torrance, California. She was 87 years old.
At the age of 17, during a visit to her sister in Saigon, Mrs. Nguyen was tragically separated from her parents when Vietnam was divided by the Geneva Accord of 1954. Despite this profound loss, she faced life with remarkable strength, resilience, and unwavering optimism. With hard work and determination, she built a successful career as a businesswoman, carving out a future for herself and her family.
In 1986, she and her daughter immigrated to the United States of America, reuniting with her husband and two other children. She made a home in Northern Virginia, where she devoted herself to her family before eventually settling in Torrance, California, in 2005. Mrs. Nguyen was a pillar of love and dedication, first as a devoted wife and mother, and later as a cherished grandmother, raising her four grandchildren with care and affection. Her husband passed away in December 2002.
Mrs. Nguyen leaves behind a legacy of love, perseverance, and family devotion. She is survived by her three children, a daughter-in-law, two sons-in-law, four grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
A visitation for Mrs. Nguyen will be held Wednesday, March 5, 2025 from 10AM to 2PM at Lighthouse Memorials & Receptions, Rice Center, 5310 Torrance Blvd, Torrance, California.
