Patricia Jane Ryan

1938-2024

Jane Ryan was born in Washington, D.C. on April 12, 1938. She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Bertha; her siblings Bob, Marion, Donald, and her twin, Jim. She is survived by her many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Jane grew up in Chicago, Illinois. She received her degree in elementary education at National Lewis University in Evanston, Illinois. Jane relocated to California in 1960. She taught school for the Manhattan Beach School District. She received her Masters degree in special education at Cal Lutheran University. Jane retired from teaching at Meadows Elementary as a kindergarten teacher. Jane loved her many years as an educator, and had all the attributes of a wonderful teacher. Even after her retirement, Jane continued to mentor other students.

Jane was a long-time resident of Redondo Beach. She cherished living by the ocean. Jane was an active member of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church. Her love of Jesus was evident to all who knew her. Jane went to be with Him on June 1, 2024.

A Celebration of Life for Patricia Jane Ryan will be held Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at 10AM at Lighthouse Memorials & Receptions, 5310 Torrance Blvd., Torrance, California, followed by a reception from 11AM to 2PM.
