Raul Dominguez Montanez, a 44 year resident of the South Bay, passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2009 in Lawndale. Born in Clawa, CA, Raul was 80 when he died. Raul had served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a Manager in the Import - Export business for over 30 years.
Raul is survived by his wife, Alejandra Montanez of Lawndale, CA; son, Raul J. (Delia) Montanez of TX; daughter, Jennie N. Montanez of Lawndale, CA; daughter, Sandra Shaina of Lawndale, CA; son, Gustavo Montanez of Lawndale, CA; brother, Donald Montanez; brother, Carl Montanez; sister, Delia Montanez; sister, Estella Montanez; brother, Rudy Montanez; 10 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jacinto and Juana Montanez.
A gathering of family & friends was held at the Rice Mortuary Chapel in Torrance on Saturday May 9, 2009. Inurnment took place at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Salinas. In lieu of flowers, it was suggested donations be made to the Veteran's Hospital of Long Beach.
