Brent was a devoted father, a loving family man, and a cherished friend to many. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Held; his mother, Margaret Held; and his brother, Matthew Held.
Known for his larger-than-life personality, Brent’s presence filled every room he entered. His big hugs, deep laugh, dark humor, and boundless generosity left a lasting impression on all who knew him. He welcomed everyone with open arms at “Held’s Bar,” where countless memories were made.
Brent had a passion for traveling, science fiction, his beloved dogs, and entertaining at his home. His warmth and humor created a space where people felt truly at home.
He is survived by his daughter, Alexis Ortega; his partner, Marissa Ortega; his son-in-law, Alex Trujillo; his grandson, Andrew Trujillo; and many extended family members and friends who will continue to carry his memory in their hearts.
Brent’s spirit, love, and laughter will live on in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
