
Roy Kenneth Tyler went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, May 4, 2010, with his family by his side, after a two year battle with colon cancer. Roy was born on November 15, 1961 to Darrel and Wanda Tyler. He graduated from Torrance High School in 1979, and went on to attend El Camino College. Roy worked for many years in the family businesses, The Carson Batting Cages and The Lakewood Batting Cages. In 1994, he started his own company where he manufactured many products, including women's apparel. In 1990, he married his wife Paula, and they have two sons Cameron, age 16 and Adam, age 14. He loved spending time with his family and enjoyed taking them on many vacations. He also spent many hours coaching his boys at TABB pony league and also served on their board of directors. He loved his family but most of all he loved his Savior Jesus Christ. Roy is survived by his parents Darrel and Wanda Tyler, his brother Kevin (Tammy), his sister Cindy Tapp (Mike), nieces Katie, Jordyn, Jenna and nephew Kaleb, and grandmother Norma Lee Tyler. He is also survived by many uncles, aunts, and cousins. Roy's unwavering faith bore witness to many lives during his two year battle with cancer. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him and loved him. A memorial service celebrating Roy's life on earth and his homecoming to the Lord will be held Tuesday, May 11, 2010 at 3:30 pm at Rolling Hills Covenant Church, 2222 Palos Verdes Drive North, Rolling Hills Estates, California, 90274. A Reception will immediately follow the service, downstairs in Carlson Hall.
