Porcaro, Rudolph Valentino (Rudy) a 40 year resident of Redondo Beach, passed away on Tues., June 6, 2006 in Redondo Beach. Born in NY, NY, on January 2, 1927, Rudy was 79. He was a devoted husband and father. He enjoyed woodworking, cooking, gardening and spending time with his family. He will be deeply missed, but his love lives on in our hearts. He is survived by his beloved wife of fifty years Mary Porcaro, Daughter Rosina Vanek (Charles), Son Valentino Porcaro, Daughter Maureen Martineau (Jim), Daughter Donna Nelson (Bruce), Grandchildren Brittany, Matthew, Stephanie, Joseph, Julianna, and Zachary, Brother Victor Porcaro. Also, by Cindy Weinhart whom he thought of as a daughter. Preceded in death by infant son Joseph, Mother and Father Dionisio and Rosina Porcaro and sixteen siblings. Viewings will be held at Rice Mortuary 5310 Torrance Blvd. Saturday, June 10, 4-8pm Sunday, June 11, 4-8pm and Monday, June 12 from 4-8pm. with a Rosary at 7:00 P.M. on Monday. A funeral Mass will be held at St. James Catholic Church on Tuesday, June 13 at 10:00am. Reception will follow at Rice's Lighthouse Reception Room from 11:30am until 1:30pm.
