She is survived by her three children (Jim, Beverly, and Marjorie), their spouses, six grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Her late husband of 53 years, Paul Brooks, died in 2001. They met while attending USC. She was first a piano teacher and homemaker, then went back to college and became a special education teacher. Following retirement, she increased her volunteering and organizing senior activities at Journey of Faith in Manhattan Beach.
