Ryan Matthew Nugent

Ryan Matthew Nugent died suddenly and unexpectedly in Eugene, Oregon on August 17, 2019. He was just 25 years old. Ryan was born January 14, 1994 in Torrance, California to Dreux and Lizbeth. He attended grammar and middle schools in Orange County and graduated from Aliso Niguel High School in 2012, where he was an offensive lineman on the varsity football team. He went on to the University of Oregon where he achieved a Bachelor of Science in Economics in just three years. While at University of Oregon, Ryan was a member of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity and spent a summer studying at University of Cambridge in England.

Ryan loved sports and played baseball and basketball as a child. He loved football, which he played all four years of high school. He especially enjoyed watching the Oregon Ducks and his favorite NFL team, the Minnesota Vikings.

Ryan is survived by two loving families: Liz and Keith Wilson of Laguna Hills and Dreux and Kate Nugent of El Segundo, as well as brothers Sean and Dylan (Goodreau). He also leaves his maternal grandmother, Sandra Martin of Laguna Niguel and so many aunts, uncles and cousins who will miss him dearly.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Lighthouse Memorial and Receptions in Torrance, CA. The funeral will be held on Wednesday, August 28 at 11:00am at St. Anthony Catholic Church in El Segundo, CA with a viewing option at 10:00am in the church.
