Sandy had retired from Safeway/Vons grocery stores after 35 years of service and had many loyal customers and friends. She held many positions over the years, Bakery Merchandiser, Checker, District Secretary and was a Store Manager up until the time she retired. She befriended many people during her long career and always had a story to tell.
Sandy had a passion for cooking and loved to try out new recipes on her family and friends. Her favorite was any and all seafood dishes. She so loved experimenting in the kitchen and would feed anyone she could get to sit still long enough.
Sandy moved from California to Colorado for a short period of time where most of her immediate family still live. Eventually she came back to California where she had lived all of her life. She has spent the last five years in Torrance with her extended family members, step-daughter’s Vicki Williams, Torrance CA and Diane Williams, Thousand Oaks, CA, step-son John Williams of Oregon, step-grandson, Ryan Davis and several other extended family members. Sandy was loved by all.
A memorial and celebration of her life is planned at the Clubhouse where she resided on Saturday, May 12, 2012 from 11:30 to 1:30 at Skyline Mobile Park, 2550 Pacific Coast Highway, Torrance, CA
