Theresa E. MacQuarrie

Born 08/16/1925 in South Bridge, Mass. Known to everyone as ''Terrie''. With her charming personality and spotless attire. She was loved by all and will be missed by many. As a young girl, Terrie loved the sport of bowling, roller skating and was excellent at jitter bug dancing of the 1940''s to the tune of the ''Big Bands'', Glenn Miller, Tommy Dorsey and Harry James, etc. Terrie met her future husband to be ''Charlie'' in 1940, while at the town ''Roller Skating Rink''.

Through this acquaintance a three year relationship developed and on Dec. 25, 1944. while Charlie was stationed at ''Chatam Field'', Georgia in the Army Air Corp., his proposal for marriage via ''air mail'' was accepted and Terrie traveled by train to Georgia, and on 12/25/44 Terrie and Charlie tied the knot in a quaint ''Little Base Chapel''. Attended by many of the GI''s, Terrie was attired in pink her favorite color and yellow roses. A beautiful bride then as today 60 years later.

Throughout the 60 years of marriage Terrie brought into this world two wonderful and loving son's, Richard and Michael.

Terrie also worked as one of the best waitresses an employer could find. Serving her customers with that charming personality and expert service for some 35 years, 22 of those years with the same employer. Terrie lived most of her adult life (55 years) in Ca; with husband Charlie and son Michael. Son (Richard living in Reno, Nv.) Traveling, bingo, horse racing and the trips to Reno and Las Vegas, Nevada in quest of the big ''Jack Pot'', she enjoyed. Terrie retired from her waitress work in 1975, a few months later opened an ''Antique and Collectable'' business under her chosen name of Yesterday's Treasures and became very successful for 27 years with the addition of ''Mac's Old Time Radios and Radio Museum'' in Lawndale, Ca.

She loved people and people loved her. She will be missed immensely by her husband Charlie, sons Richard and Michael and 2 grandchildren, Rhonda and Ricky, 7 Great grand children and many nieces, nephews, and a brother Gerard, and many friends.

May she Rest in Peace, after battling for 5 years the health adversities that many have and will face. But throughout it all a 60 year marriage to the sweetest and most caring wife a husband could have will live with me forever, and as we often said I love you honey BIG, BIG

A service celebrating Theresa's life will be held at McCormick's Mortuary Chapel in Hawthorne on Wednesday Nov. 17th, 2004 at 4:30 P.M. Inurnment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Culver City.
