McGee, Thomas Patrick, born and raised in the South Bay, passed away on Friday, July 6, 2007 in Afghanistan. He was 23. Thomas had served in the Army for 4 years. Thomas was a Graduate of Redondo Union High School and attended El Camino College, pursuing a career in law enforcement.
He is survived by parents, Tom and Sylvia McGee; brother, Corey McGee; grandmothers, Coralee Gentle and Margarete McGee; grandfather, Juan Montoya; stepgrandparents, Onja and Jim; aunts and uncles, Leon and Julie, Tom and Debbie, Steve and Michelle, Joe and Elke and Michael; cousins, Jana, Stephen, Lexi, Connor, Melissa and Laura; and good friends, Vanessa, Craig and Greg. He was a special son to his loving and devoted parents, was a mentor to his brother, was much loved by his close family, and will be greatly missed.
A public visitation will be held on Sunday, July 15, 2007, 2 P.M. to 9 P.M. at Rice Mortuary in Torrance. The Service will be held Monday, July 16, 2007, 11 A.M. at Redondo Union High School Auditorium in Redondo Beach. Burial will follow at Pacific Crest Cemetery in Redondo Beach.
