
Tony Madison Doram, 65, of Redondo Beach, CA died suddenly of a heart attack on November 10, 2009. He was born in Los Angeles, CA on November 15, 1943 the son of Tony Doram, Sr. and Lillian Sullivan. As a young man, Tony lived on the East Coast with devoted family. He attended Compton High School and graduated from Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas, NV in 1961.
Tony attended Tennessee State University in Nashville, TN on a football scholarship where he played quarterback. He returned to Los Angeles where he pursued a career in sales, marketing and entertainment including concert promotions and productions. He was passionate about sports, travel and food, especially Southern cuisine.
He married Joanne Hannon in 1977 and together they raised three children, Troy, Todd and Triana in Redondo Beach, CA. Tony shared his knowledge of football and baseball by coaching South Bay youths in Pop Warner, Little League, at Bishop Montgomery High School and Redondo Union High School.
Tony is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Jody, his son, Troy, (daughter-in-law, Monica), son, Todd, and daughter, Triana. He is also survived by his sister, aunt, sisters and brothers-in-law, cousins, and several nieces and nephews and friends.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, November 16, 2009 at 5:30 p.m. at American Martyrs Church in Manhattan Beach, CA 90266. Reception to follow service.
