Vernon "Vern" John Knudson, a 45 year resident of Manhattan Beach, passed away on Thursday, December 19, 2013. Born in Los Angeles, California, he was 72 when he died. Vernon owned and operated Axminster Pharmacy in South Los Angeles for 45 years. Vernon is survived by wife, Rhonda Kay Knudson; sister, Mary Knudson; daughters, Lisa Knudson Dietz and Debi Knudson; grandsons, Joshua Knudson and Jackson Dietz; and many friends. The Service will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery in the Risen Christ Chapel on Monday December 23, 2013 at 9:30 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Cancer Society.
