Yolanda Marie Ramirez

It is with great sadness that the family of Yolanda Marie Ramirez announce her passing on Thursday November 16, 2017, after a two and a half year battle against stage IV colon cancer, at the age of 56 years old.

Yolanda was born May 29, 1961 and spent the majority of her life in Redondo Beach, California. She graduated from Mira Costa High School in 1979. After having children in 1983 and 1986 she became employed by the Redondo Beach Unified School District and was a dedicated employee for 26 years. She was an integral part of BeachNet, a student run internet service provider. She was also an important member of the Information Technology and Child Nutrition Services departments.

Yolanda was a devoted mother and grandmother. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and family. She enjoyed collecting Barbies, decorating for the holidays, vacationing in Hawaii, and spoiling her grandchildren.

Yolanda will be lovingly remembered by her children Gina and Daniel, her daughter-in-law Jovelyn, and her two grandchildren Ethan and Jasmine. She will also be fondly remembered by her brothers Richard, Hector and Edgar, her sisters-in-law Marcela and Denise, and by her mother Teresa. There are also countless other family members, friends and coworkers who will remember and miss her dearly.

Funeral services will occur on December 1 and December 2, 2017. A rosary service is scheduled for December 1, 7pm, at Rice Mortuary, in Torrance, CA. A memorial mass will take place on December 2, 10am, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, Hermosa Beach, CA.
