David Carl Stowe

He graduated from Traverse City Central High School in 1981. Dave was a hard worker who excelled at every job he attempted. He was a very creative man who would always come up with a new way to tackle any task. He married the love of his life and best friend of 35 years, Brenda Roelofs, on April 28, 1984. They had just celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary.

Dave’s passion in life was his wife and family. He adored his daughters, grandson and granddaughter on the way. He loved tinkering around in his garage and yard, fishing, hunting, and his dogs. He had a witty nature and always had those around him in laughter. Dave was a giver and was always concerned about everyone around him.

In addition to his wife, Dave is survived by his daughters, Alyssa (Matthew) Knust and Ashley (Daniel) Westover; grandchildren, Mason Knust and Baby Girl Westover (on the way); as well as his parents Larry (Ila) Stowe; sisters, Sandra (Dale) Roelofs, Annette (Mark) Counsell, twin brother, Daniel Stowe, and sister-in-law, Diane (Don) Breen; along with several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June, 17, 2014 at 11 am at Covell Funeral Home in Traverse City with visitation starting at 10am. The service will be officiated by Pastor Jim Petteys.
