Geraldine Helen Schenden

Geraldine was born on October 22, 1952 in Cadillac, the daughter of Gerard and Helen (Paquette) Schenden. In the past, Geraldine attended school through Northern Lakes Community Mental Health and worked at NOC in Cadillac. She was a member of the Special Olympics and enjoyed going to local dances. Geraldine enjoyed coloring, playing with Barbies and listening to music. Her favorite groups were the Beatles, Elvis and she dearly loved Davy Jones of the Monkees. Geraldine was a happy woman who loved to eat.

Geraldine is survived by several sisters-in-law; her very special caregiver, Elaine Zinger; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death are her parents, Gerard and Helen Schenden; brothers, Richard (Sue), Phillip (Jan), Thomas, James, Daniel, and Patrick Schenden; and caregiver, Frank Zinger.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the wonderful staff at Tendercare of Traverse City and Geraldine’s long time caregivers, Frank and Elaine Zinger.

A graveside service will take place on Friday, April 29, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Cadillac.
