Howard Henry Fouch, age 79 a lifelong resident of Old Mission Peninsula went to be with the lord, March 18, 2012. Howard was born April 9, 1932 in Traverse City, the son of Cherry Farmers, Clifford and Grace Fouch. If there can be peace in losing a father it comes knowing he is again with mom, the woman he loved so dearly and has missed so much. Hard working, honest and dedicated understate Dad's character but there are no better words to describe him. He loved his family. He loved his farm. He loved his church. Those were the three most important things in his life and in fact, the only things that ever mattered to him. He lived and worked on his farm his entire life. He raised a family of six children on that farm often through very lean times. He didn't talk about integrity, he lived life honorably. He didn't preach about hard work, he modeled it. He didn't profess his affection, he simply loved. He was a good, good man. We will forever love him and miss him.
He leaves behind a large family to honor his legacy. Loving Husband of the late Ann (Seel), with whom he shared 58 years of marriage. He was the loving father of six, Dan (MaryAnn) Fouch, Steve (Lisa) Fouch, Jeff (Sue) Fouch, Kathy (Dennis) Banton, Kim Fouch and Rocko (Pam) Fouch. Howard adored his 17 Grandchildren, Erin, Javed, Ashley, Ryan, Tiffany, Ashley, Amanda, Candice, Jack, Jennifier, Caitlyn, Kyle, Travis, Troy, Adam, Nick and Amanda. He was a great-father to Annabel, Tabitha, Quinn, Matthew, Colin, Jacob, Kylie, Madison, Avery, Emerson Grace, Wesley, Carter, Nolan, Addison, Cameron. He was dear Brother of Maretta (Leon) Harig and Virgina (Tim) Corrado. He is also survived by “2nd” daughters Nicki Towner and Linda Seibel, as well as many nieces nephews and friends. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday 11:00 a.m. at Old Mission United Methodist Church, 16246 Center Road. Visitation will be held Tuesday 6-8 p.m. at the Covell Funeral Home in Traverse City, 232 East State Street. Burial will take place privately at Ogdensburg Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to the church. Please share condolences with the family at www.covellfuneralhomes.com
