Mark Thiel

His childhood home was in Bridgeport, MI but he later resided in Florida and Alden. He served in the US Navy for four years. He most recently lived in Wyoming where he worked for Flannery Machine and Tool. Mark was a spiritual person who enjoyed gardening, and shopping for antiques. He was a devoted father and loving grandfather.

His daughter Nadeia Thiel and his four grandchildren, Ila, Isaiah, Ethan, and Amelia survive him, as well as many siblings: Dawn (Robert) Pepera, Lynn Thiel, Julie Fitzpatrick, Mary Comstock, Ross Thiel, Yvette (Jeff) DOpp, and Karl (Anna) Thiel. He also leaves behind aunts, uncles, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. His brother Vaughn, sister Sheryl, and brother-in-law Peter Fitzpatrick predeceased him.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 20, 2014 from 5 to 8pm at Covell Funeral Home in Elk Rapids. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at 11am at Christ the King Catholic Church in Acme. Burial will take place at Helena Township Cemetery in Alden, MI.
