Marlene Williams

Marlene belonged to the First Baptist Church in Manistee and in Ocala, Florida. She enjoyed family camping trips, sewing and cake decorating. She worked as manager for the Little Red Shoe Store in Manistee before transferring to Ocala, FL in 1984 where she continued to work for many years. After formally retiring, she worked for her church food service program. She also found much enjoyment hosting numerous family vacations, yard saling and her community of close friends.

Marlene is survived by her loving husband Hugh Williams of Manistee; daughters: Kathie Williams of Lebanon, Indiana, and Kristie Schlafley of Manistee, son: Brian Williams of Manistee and Florida and brother: Richard Callesen of Manistee, 11 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Marlene was preceded in death by her parents Carl and Helen Callesen, brothers; Lester and Wayne Callesen, sister Ilene Chesebro and daughter Karen Leonard.

All funeral services were private, interment at Grant Township Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations were made to the First Baptist Church of Manistee.

Arrangements were entrusted to Covell Funeral Home in Traverse City.
