Pat was born on December 8, 1945 in Cadillac, the son of Gerard and Helen Schenden. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and for most of his working career, he was an inspector for Northwood Manufacturing. Pat was able to show off his artistic side as the owner of Schenden Signs. His work can be seen on many of the businesses throughout Wexford County. Pat also worked for Wedin International and most recently, Britten Media.
Pat loved life and lived it at his own pace. He was an avid collector of everything, because you never know when you’re going to need it! He was extremely loyal and caring. His selfless, servant heart was apparent in his daily life. Although his wife, Cheryl, was always his top priority, he was also a servant of The Lord. Pat was passionate about music. He was a member of The River Free Methodist Church of Mesick, where he participated with the worship team. Pat also enjoyed meeting new people and learning everything he could about them.
Pat is survived by his wife of 28 years, Cheryl (Kemppainen); parents, Gerard and Helen (Paquette) Schenden; children, Jill (Tom) Lodes, Lisa Allen, and Todd (Whitney Huston) Barta; grandchildren, Madelaine and Kip Talcott, Elle and Gage Huston, Deonne Davis, and Cedric Heard; and siblings, Phillip (Jan) Schenden and Geraldine Schenden.
