Sean A. DeVincent

Sean was born on April 30, 1983 in Traverse City, son of Kevin and Linda DeVincent. He attended Central High School and was very inspired by his classical piano teacher, Betty Kurtz. She led him into a life of music where he became a very talented musician. He was a drummer, guitar player, and also played bass. Sean was a member of the band Indulge, which started in Traverse City, then moved out to Las Vegas. Sean completed the 8 month training program at Midwest Mission Bible Training Center in Cresco, Iowa and was the music director for a short period of time at Paradise Baptist Church in Tennessee. Besides music, Sean was also a talented artist, specializing in Looney Tunes drawings.

Sean is survived by his father, Kevin DeVincent; mother, Linda (fiancée Michael Easley) DeVincent; 5 year old daughter, Rylee Ann DeVincent; significant other, Heather Dahl; siblings, Layna DeVincent, Nicole DeVincent, Leon Juralbal, Billie Jo Ewing, and Tracy DeVincent; grandparents, Marjorie and John Francis Steinebach, and Marianne and Lyle Smith; several aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, and cousins. Sean’s grandfather, John Lewis DeVincent preceded him in death.

Services will be held Tuesday, Jan 10 at 2 pm, with visitation starting at noon at Covell Funeral Home in Traverse City. Memorial contributions may be made to the family for final expenses.
