Aleathia Leontine Lee

She is survived by her mother, Veneda Rogers-Lee, her two sisters, Carol Lee McGovern and Nadine Lee Battle from New York; her nieces Asia and Alexis Rogers-Lee; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She is preceded in death by her siblings, Delone Lee Perine, Martin Lee, and Venus Lee-Dixon; and her father, Elias Lee.

Aleathia was born on May 21, 1961 in Brooklyn, NY to parents, Veneda Rogers-Lee and Elias Lee. She graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Magna Cum Laude from Marymount Manhattan College in 1983. In 1996, she moved to Georgia and accepted a position in 2007 at Federal Home Loan Bank of America. She worked there for more than 15 years and grew to the position of Assistant Vice President, Senior Auditor, gaining certifications for CRMA, CIA, and CPA.

She was a great family woman and a loving aunt to her two nieces. Aleathia loved to spend her afternoons therapeutically picking up sticks after work. She often watched movies and tv shows, and you could often find her in her home office with her headphones on, reading articles and catching up on the news or texting and talking with her sisters. She loved traveling and experiencing different cultures.

In addition, she was a landlord, she was certified internationally and often practiced in Germany. She had an online business where she refurbished goods and loved doing home improvements. Most importantly, she cared for her aging mother and helped raised her two nieces; one of which she was able to see graduate from college.

A visitation for Aleathia will be held Tuesday, June 13, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Floral Hills Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 3150 Lawrenceville Highway, Tucker, GA 30084, followed by a funeral service at 3:00 PM.
