Al was my neighbor for 16 years.  He would be doing yard work all weekend as would I and we would often end with a couple of beers.  He would sneak a smoke from me sometimes.  He would speak of his football days and we would always have a good laugh.  My first snow week at the lake the power went out and Al was over at my house with firewood and helping me start a fire.  He would bring me some of his awesome smoked ribs.  Al was a hardworking, humble man.  He never let a conversation end without telling me he was proud of how well I raised my son as a Single Parent.  Coming from Al that always meant a lot to me.  This is our first Christmas without Al’s Christmas decorations shining bright.  He will be missed on this little block of Norris lake.  Enjoy the new journey, friend.  Love you!

My deepest sympathy for the loss of one of the most inspiring and dedicated Physical Education teachers. Coaches passion for teaching and the positive impact he made on countless lives will always be remembered and cherished.

May God's comfort and peace surround his family during this difficult time.  Al's love for our Hapeville students and football will always be remembered!

May God give  strength and peace to his family at this time. I pray God's eternal peace for Coach Andrews.
