Anna Francis Henriquez, age 91, passed away on November 24, 2018 in Atlanta, GA. She is survived by her sister Angela M. Santoro of Lake Worth, FL and by her nieces, Anita Rafols, Geraldine Santoro, Antoinette Johnson, Jeanette Williams, and her nephew Louis Santoro, as well as her great nephews Michael and Mark Johnson, Kyle Williams, Anthony Santoro and her great niece Christie Williams.
She was preceded in death by her sisters Carmen Rafols and Josephine Buccarelli.
She was born on March 9, 1927 in New York City to parents Anna (Madera) and Hipolito Henriquez. She spent her childhood and young adult years in New York City as the second of 4 sisters. She began her working career with AT&T in Manhattan. When AT&T split into the many "Baby Bells" her job as an executive assistant led her to Orlando, FL where she retired after over 30 years of employment in the telecom industry.
In her retirement, Anna enjoyed traveling, eating out with friends, going to the movies, reading and volunteering at the local hospital in the neo-natal care unit. Anna began to spend more time in Atlanta due to her friendship with Dr. Bobbie Bailey and eventually moved here.
Anna will always be remembered by her friends and family as an elegant, intelligent lady who also had a great sense of fun. She will be missed.
A private celebration of life service will be held for Anna on December 2, 2018 at Floral Hills Funeral Home and Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Lung Association.
