

Charlotte was born on December 19, 1935 and grew up in Tennille, Georgia. She was the daughter of Morris Steve Jackson and Mary Dell Bedingfield Jackson, both of whom predeceased her. She moved to Decatur, Georgia and met the love of her life, Emmett Frank Mashburn, at North Decatur Pharmacy at the corner of North Decatur and Clairmont Roads where he was a Pharmacist. She was a lifelong member of Clairmont Hills Baptist Church serving in multiple roles, including as a Deacon. After raising her children, she spent many years with John Q. Bullard and Associates, retiring many times only to return to work.
She was fun loving, friendly, always cheerful and a dedicated Christian with a true servant’s heart and a beautiful singing voice.
She is survived by all three of her children: Cheryl (Robert) Meuleners of Hiawassee, Georgia, Emmett Frank (Louise) Mashburn, Jr. of Knoxville, Tennessee and Thomas Matthew (Anita) Mashburn of Cartersville, Georgia. She leaves behind many grandchildren and three great-grandchildren: Candice (Josh) Inouye of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota and Patrick (Samantha) Meuleners of Braselton, Georgia; David (Reimi) Mashburn of Sandy, Utah, Emma (Alex) Tam of Orem, Utah, Zach (Cameron) Mashburn of Nashville, Tennessee and Rhett Mashburn of Knoxville, Tennessee; and Melissa (Carl) Adamek of Belgrade, Montana and Lindsey Mashburn of Cartersville, Georgia. Great-grandchildren Denis Ray Inouye and Charlotte Elise Inouye of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota; Jay Mashburn of Nashville, Tennessee; and Loren Thomas Adamek of Belgrade, Montana.
Funeral will be at Floral Hills Funeral Home, 3150 Lawrenceville, Highway, Tucker, Georgia 30084 (770) 491-3021 at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 2, 2024, with burial immediately thereafter at Floral Hills Memory Gardens.
