When we would bring customers to Atlanta for VIP trips, the highlight on the agenda was always Don Lunday.  He would take a basic topic and make it entertaining, funny and meaningful to the client.  Anyone that had the pleasure to have known Don - is better for it.  Thank you, Partner!

Don's office was just down the hall from Word Processing at 1700 Chantilly. If he wasn't on "that" important phone call and he noticed you passing by, he would always say good morning, how ya doing, how's it going, whatever. God's Kingdom has surely gained another good ole boy. Rest in peace Pardner.

I was saddened to hear of Don’s passing.   I first met Don in the 70’s when he was a Sales Manager for 3M in the Dallas office.   I was immediately impressed with Don’s presentation and sales skills at a Region meeting.  I was pleased when we began working closely together when Harris/3M was formed in the 80’s as product marketing managers. 
Don had the unique ability to communicate a concept or product capabilities to any size group and do it with great enthusiasm.  Don was a true professional and respected by all who knew him and those of us who had the pleasure of working with him.  
Don will be missed; Rest in Peace my friend.     


All the remembrances of Don are spot on. Savvy, professional, funny - all true. But I also loved his bluntness. He did it so well. The example that comes to mind is Don agreeing to move forward on a marketing project that I had just explained to him. And even though he said yes, for some reason I kept talking about the value of the project. It didn't take long for him to cut me off and with his big Texas grin say, "You can shut up now. You don't need to keep selling after you've made the sale."
That was Don. And I'm forever grateful to have known him.

We had the pleasure of meeting Don and Sharon a few years ago when they lived across the street from us in Clearwater Plantation. They were wonderful neighbors and we hated to see them move. We never saw Don that he didn’t throw up his hand, smile and greet you every time he saw you.  He always had a kind word and was more than willing to help a neighbor out. We are so sorry to learn today of his passing. We pray God will bless Sharon and his family in the days and weeks to come. 



I was fortunate enough to work with Don Lunday. Like every other employee we used to look forward to Don's presentations. When I first attended some of Don's presentations I was always amazed at how Don always looked sharp, had his shoes shined, had that big smile of his and was able to deliver his message with the perfect mix of humor, technology and enthusiasm. I worked in the home office later in my career and got a chance to see how focused and professional Don was. He never missed a detail. I was lucky to have  been friends with Don.    

Sharon, Jason & Jordan, saddened to hear of Don's passing, rejoicing in his reaching his final destination.  Have many wonderful memories from Briarlake, most on the softball field with Jason & the other dad/sons; joining his kids in the balcony after ushering.   Know he & Elliott have reunited & are ushering/welcoming others to the fold.
At Lanier or could've been Ricoh by then,  will never forget a co-worker stating Don was like a giddy kid once he & Sharon were engaged.  
Will be thinking of you all in the coming days.

I was fortunate to have worked with Don in Lanier Worldwide product marketing in the early 1990’s. Don was a Mentor and a shining example of professionalism, polish and enthusiasm. The world needs more Don Lunday’s, and I am a better person having known him. Rest In Peace my friend. 

So sorry to hear of Don's passing. Don was a good man and a true friend. He will be missed greatly. Keeping Sharon and family in our thoughts and prayers during this time of sorrow.

Don Lunday was the most polished, prepared, professional I have ever worked with.  Upon relocating to Atlanta in 1990, Don took me under his wing. He taught me the Product Marketing business model, how to present a business case and how to articulate a business presentation, whether it was to a small group of executives, or to significantly larger audiences.  On the personal side, Don was with me in the good times and challenging times.  I could trust Don like a brother, who he became, like a big brother to me.  Don was my 'best man'  when getting married to Robin.  This says it all.  Don will always be my 'best man'.  Don made a significant impact on the thousands of employees, customers, and vendors, who he touched throughout the many years of his service. 
I love you, Rest in Peace, Partner....
