A Memorial service for Edwin M. Jackson, 75, of Clarkesville, formerly of Grayson and Tucker, is scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday, June 14, at Refuge Baptist Church, Clarkesville, with Pastor Scott Westmoreland and Chaplain Robert Belin, Hospice of Northeast Georgia Medical Center, officiating.
Mr. Jackson passed away peacefully June 4, 2015, to be with his Lord and Savior.
Edwin was a third-generation brick mason since age 15, and a member of Local 8, Atlanta. He took great pride in his craftsman skills. His work can be seen throughout Atlanta and Northeast Georgia, as well as several other states out west that requested his talents. Not only was bricklaying his profession, but it was also his hobby.
He loved his Lord, Bible and church. He remember with great joy and affection his mission trip with the men at Gwinnett County Baptist Church to Russia and the life-changing experience.
Edwin is survived by his wife of 55 years, Joan Bradley Jackson; Children, Kerri Beth and David Edwin Jackson; brother-in-law and wives, Jim and Kim Bradley of Dawsonville, and Bob and Becky Bradley of Foley, Alabama; and his life-long friend and business partner, Billy Cox of Tucker.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Refuge Baptist Church or Hospice of Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
Floral Hills Funeral Home , Tucker was in charge of the burial.
