Floyd Nolan Pylant, age 97, of Atlanta, GA passed away on February 17, 2024. He was born on July 29, 1926 in Atlanta, GA to parents Henry Richard and Lilla Estell Pylant. He was preceded in death by his wife Jacqueline Pylant and his three sisters Dot, Bernice and Jaynell.
He is survived by his two sons and daughter in law, Kenneth Pylant (Lisa) and Keith Pylant, as well as his grandson Nolan Pylant.
He was a graduate of Georgia State University and spent most of his career as a commercial insurance underwriter. He was an avid tennis player and a member of the Atlanta Lawn and Tennis Association for many years. He also volunteered for Meals on Wheels and enjoyed the dances at the Mason Mill Senior Center. He was best known for his quick wit and sense of humor.
Visitation is scheduled Sunday, February 25 at Floral Hills Funeral Home, at 11am -1pm and the funeral will be held at 1:00 pm in the chapel. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Memory Gardens.
