She was born in Dacula the daughter of the late O.W. and Netta Cain Smith.
She was a bookkeeper for the IRS.
Mrs. Bennett was formerly a member of Scott Blvd. Baptist Church and currently a member of First Baptist Church of Loganville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion H. Bennett.
Survivors include her children, Michele (Tom) Hutton of Lilburn, and Tim (Cheryl) Bennett of Jacksonville, FL; sisters, Sara Benefield of Lawrenceville and Janice Phillips of Monroe; her brothers, James Smith of Tucker, Roger Smith and Kenon Smith both of Dacula; four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 30 at 11:00 am in the chapel of Floral Hills Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Tues. from 6-8 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Alzheimer's Association.
