She was born in Cheyenne, WY, the daughter of the late Elias and Helen Panopoulos Christopulos.
She was a retired Realtor from Prudential California Realty. Mrs. Pilafas was an active member of Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Annunciation, where she was an member of the Golden Group and a lifetime member of the Philoptochos Society.
Survivors include her daughters, Elaine (James) Geschke of Lawrenceville, Athanasia (Paul) Pilafas-Millward, and Georganne Osborn both of Snellville; her son Father John Pilifas of Chicago; her brothers, Tony Christopulos of Waukegan, IL and Mike Christopulos of Milwaukee, WI; grandchildren, Dimitri Osborn, Natalie Osborn, Andrea Blatnik, Christopher Geschke, Andrew Geschke, Nicholas Geschke, and Tasia Millward and great grandchildren, Alexis Geschke, and Landon Thompson.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 8 at 10:30 am at the St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Chicago. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 7 from 3-9 p.m. at the Marsh Funeral Home, 305 North Cemetery Rd., Gurnee, IL.
Mrs. Pilafas loved her family and one of her greatist joys was making capama with them.
