James is survived by his lifelong partner and spouse, Deborah Hennington, and his four children, April Hennington, Tina Walker, Tim Hennington, and Jessica Hennington, their spouses, and his 10 grandchildren. He is also survived by his three siblings, David, Tammy, and Teresa. James was predeceased by his mother, Francis, and his father, Richard.
James was born on August 22, 1962, in Atlanta, Georgia. He spent his entire life in the city he loved, building a legacy of kindness and hard work within the community he called home. Everyone knew “Mr. James,” and he made sure all the tenants in the apartments he maintained were taken care of. James was a quiet and simple man who dedicated his life to his work and family. He loved what he did and did it well.
His family and friends remember him as a hardworking and dedicated individual. He took pride in his work and made sure that when a job needed to get done, it was done right. He worked so hard to provide for his family and he accomplished that goal every day of his adult life.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, but the memories he helped create will be with us for the rest of our lives.
James will be laid to rest at Floral Hills Memory Gardens, located at 3000 Lawrenceville Highway in Tucker, Georgia.
The family requests that all flowers and notes be sent to 3210 Mathieson Drive Apt. T5, Atlanta, GA 30305.
