On Wednesday, April 15, 2020 Jeanne Marie Thibodeaux Cruse, beloved wife and mother, passed away at the age of 90 after a three week battle with the COVID-19 virus. Jeanne was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Donald Marion Cruse and ten siblings. She is survived by her three daughters, Charlene Alvarez (Bob), Cynthia Quinton (Mike), and Gail Bang (Tom), her sister, Mary Pareti, and numerous family members. Jeanne was born on September 27, 1929 in Raceland, Louisiana. She and her family lived in the Decatur, Georgia area for over 65 years where she raised her children and was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church. Also known as “Granny,” Jeanne was a loving grandmother to four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren whom she loved to spoil with treats. Jeanne enjoyed dancing, socializing with friends and family, and was known for her trendy fashion sense. She will be dearly missed by everyone who knew and loved her. The family is grateful to the intensive care staff at Emory Hospital for providing compassionate care and outstanding patience in facilitating many virtual visits with those who loved her.
