Jimmy David Hickman, age 78, of Snellville, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, July 9, 2025. Jimmy was born in Decatur. Georgia, June 17, 1947 and graduated from Avondale High School in 1965. After graduation he joined the U.S.Marine Corp and served during the Vietnam War. Upon being honorably discharged from military service, Mr.Hickman attended college and started his own software consulting firm. After retirement he enjoyed playing golf and playing bass guitar with fellow musicians. He also enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Mr. Hickman was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 38 years , Barbara Hickman and his parents, Eugene and Ruby Hickman.
He is survived by his brother Gene Hickman of Loganville, stepdaughter Candace Quinn of Grayson, uncle Herbert Hickman of Lithonia, and many cousins, nieces and nephews. He will be sorely missed by all.
A visitation for Jimmy will be held Monday, July 21, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Floral Hills Funeral Home & Cremation, 3150 Lawrenceville Highway, Tucker, GA 30084, followed by a funeral service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
