Mary Ann Francisco

FRANCISCO, Mary Ann of Decatur, Georgia (90 years), Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Friend, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 24, 2025. Born in Shreveport, Louisiana on January 15, 1935 to William Henry and Sarah Clyde Mathis, Mary Ann moved into the Atlanta area in 1938. She attended Murphy H.S. where she graduated in 1952. Mary Ann met and subsequently married Ronald (Ron) Francisco in 1957 where they were happily married for almost 65 years. Mary Ann was the mother of four girls; she was a member of North Druid Hills Christian Church, was active in PTA in her early years and in later years was an avid boater on Lake Lanier. She was deeply loved and respected by her family and friends.

Mary Ann is survived by her four daughters: Brenda Sams (Chris Sams), Linda Hanna Sroufe, Michelle/Mickey Bowling (Jim Bowling), and Lori/Barbara Francisco (Robert Taylor). She is also survived by three grandchildren: Michael Sams (Annalee Sams), Beth Almodova (Jose Almodova) and Daniel Hanna. Additionally, Mary Ann had two grandchildren by marriage: Alec Bowling and Matt Bowling (Rhonda).

Condolences and Celebrations of Life may be sent to Floral Hills Funeral Home in Tucker, Georgia. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. followed by a service at 12:00 p.m. in the Chapel at Floral Hills Funeral Home.
